In ultimii ani s-a inregistrat si o revigorare importanta in sectorul zootehnic, prin sporirea septelului si introducerea unor rase de animale performante in gospodariile populatiei.

The economy of the commune is prevalent agricultural, based on cultivation of plants. Besides, in the last few years there was an observable recovery in the sector of livestock-breeding. Camar is well-known also for honey-making.
Although the commune's touristic potential is modest - it has only one historical and architectural monument, the wooden church "Sfintii Arhangheli" - it is worth visiting if we wonder about the Hungarian traditions, folk customs and the national costume.
