Natural potential which can be capitalized

Sălaj County has a special potential in the development of
spa tourism through the use of the thermo-mineral waters
used for therapeutic purposes, especially bicarbonate wa-
ters with temperatures of 23 °C - 42 °C and balneothera-
peutic, sulphate and sulphurous minerals.

The mountainous relief present in Sălaj County
allows the organization of sports competitions
(mountain biking, hiking, rugged running etc.), ad-
venture park planning etc. and the creation of lei-
sure accommodation for the organization of team-
building activities, conferences, school camps etc.

Also, all potential tourism businesses also address the pres-
ence of rivers that run across the county and can be used
for recreational activities such as rafting, sport fishing etc.
