Investment opportunities

The potential for smart specialization in the county in some sectors
- metallurgy and metal processing, light industry, rubber industry, fur-
niture and agro-food industry - is just one of the arguments for attract-
ing new investments in the county.

The high potential for organic and tra-
ditional agriculture, primarily due to
the large-scale practice of traditional
agriculture where the use of chemical
fertilizers and pesticides is very low, in-
dicates the potential for bio-products,
whose market is continuously expand-
ing internationally .

Thus, in the county, especially in urban centers, some competitive in-
dustrial agglomerations with intelligent specialization potential are
represented in a series of industries with a long and competitive tradi-
tion at international level, which are responsible for most exports and
added value, such as metallurgy and material processing, rubber, fur-
niture, clothing and footwear, agri-food products or building materials.

An important stock of informally em-
ployed workforce in agriculture, es-
pecially in rural areas, which through
qualification programs can be made
available to investors along with a diver-
sity of investment placement solutions,
complements the investment offer of
the county - from land (over 1,700 ha)
that can be converted and used accord-
ing to the specifics of the investment,
parks and business support platforms
- such as Jibou Industrial Park or Euro-
business Park Transilvania, industrial
halls and redevelopment areas that
can be capitalized on the destination of
the investment.
