“Vasile Fati” (Jibou), with its gorgeous Japanese
garden, as well as the variety and richness of exotic
plants housed in greenhouses, from palm trees to
delicate orchids, 23 freshwater and salty aquari-
ums, which combine hundreds of exotic fish, the
paleontological sector, the zoological sector, the
dendrological sector and a miniature of Mount Fuji
that overlooks the entire area.

“The Devil’s Rock”, Hida

The resources of the natural heritage of the county invite
us to enjoy the beauty of pure nature and propose the dis-
covery of authentic experiences given by the relief forms
and the peculiarities of the landscape. Thus, the landscape
reservations - the “Stanii Cliţului” Landscape Reservation
(Cliţ), the Dragons’s Garden - the only natural and land-
scape reserve of its kind in the world - Gîlgău Almaşului

Narcise” (Răcîș) but also the Swamp from Iaz, or Izvoarele

invitation as authentic as bold - that of a gastro-touristic incursion, which preserves itself the flavors of this cul-
tural diversity of Sălaj. The gastro-touristic incursion can start with tours of goat farms with tastings of specific
products and can continue with the tasting of other traditional pork products offered by the farms or vineyards
and slums - Silvania Vineyard with the “Silvania” sparkling wines, made by the traditional Champenoise method,
slowly matured or the wine cellar from Carastelec, among its products being found those made by traditional,
unchanged methods from the 17 century or the one from Camăr, where the vineyards are grown in a cool cli-

mate, beyond Parallel 47. In addition to tours through Sălaj farms and vineyards, tasting the traditional products
offered by them, they are joined by another challenge - beekeeping, an occupation from ancient times and a
“hunting” of Sălaj apyari is definitely an authentic experience on which tourists can only live in Sălaj.
