The County Museum of History and Art Zalău invites the lovers
of history, traditions and art to discover the heritage “in other
way” through virtual and augmented reality solutions, hosting
exhibits from the Paleolithic age represented by the reconstruc-
tion of the cave habitat of Cuciulat, the neo-Eneolithic age, the
Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the Celts (4th - 3rd century BC), the
Dacians (2nd century BC), the Roman Limes (2nd - 3rd century
AD, Chr. ), The Romans (2nd-3rd century AD), the Early Middle
Ages to the Zalău Fair, the Golden Age during the Communist
regime, more precisely in the last two decades (after the admin-

“Ioan Sima” Art Gallery (Zalău) - which hosts permanent ex-
hibitions of fine art and an impressive collection of butterflies,
organizes various temporary exhibitions, “Simion Bărnuțiu”
Museum or Buciumi History and Ethnography Museum - with
a multitude of vestiges discovered by excavations in the area of
Roman Fort from Buciumi, the Holocaust Memorial Museum
in Northern Transylvania, which is located in the Synagogue
building and commemorates the great loss of human life and
cultural values, the Ethnographic Museum “Ligia Bodea” an “Ligia Bodea” Ethnographic Museum, Iaz
outdoor village museum consisting of three peasant farms of
three centuries old, plus thousands of exhibits from the elderly, “Ligia Bodea” Ethnographic Museum, Iaz
from Barcău Valley that make tourists relive the authentic tradi-
tional atmosphere of the 18th-19th centuries, but also the
Village Museum of Crasna, where more than 100 objects of
everyday use, furniture and costumes are gathered.
