In addition to the discovery of cultural, spiritual, historical,
landscape, gastronomic treasures, tourists can participate in a
series of events, festivals and field feasts that delight us with
their themes and novelty.

Porolissum Fest

“Porolissum Fest” takes you back in time! The event from Po-
rolissum is a historic “journey between two worlds” that at-
tempts to bring back the ancient Porolissum and proposes the
reconstruction of some aspects of the ancient Dacian and Ro-
man civilization related to the army, religious beliefs, family,
society, gastronomy, etc.
The main attraction of the festival is the spectacular battle Porolissum Fest
scenes between the Barbarians and the Romans, especially
the night struggles reconstituted in front of the Praetoria Gate. The battle scenes place at opposing ends the con-
flicts between two civilizations: the Roman world and the
Porolissum Fest barbarian world. Hundreds of “reenactors” spectacularly
equipped, reconstitute various historical figures (from Ro-
man emperors, Dacian kings, priests, vests, nymphs to
simple warriors) to the delight of the audience. Moreover,
in the amphitheater’s arena are revived the performances
of antiquity, especially the famous gladiator battles, which
attract every year an increasing number of attendees.
Nymph dancing is again a moment of attraction because
music and dance have accompanied man’s life then as
they are now.
