Another area that is distinguished by the historical, tradi-
tional, natural and geothermal resources is Barcău Valley.
Here, in Transylvania, on the Western side of Sălaj County,
at the foot of Plopiș Mountains, the “Iaz Swamp” Nature
Reserve is located on the territory of Iaz. It is a mixed na-
tural reserve with turbulent marshes and a valuable floral
wealth. Also, in the Iaz village, there is “Ligia Bodea” Eth-
nographic Museum, an outdoor village museum consisting “Iaz Swamp” Nature Reserve, Iaz
