In the Western part of the county, about 30 minutes away
by car from Zalău, we discover Şimleu Silvaniei area,
perfect for the diversity of cultural, historical, gastro-tour-
istic and spiritual preferences - thanks to the tourist attrac-
tions offerred by this part of the county.
On the bank of the Crasna River, in the South of the Măgura
Hill, is the town of Şimleu Silvaniei where we can reach
Măgura Şimleului Massif, also known in Magyar as the
Várhegy (ro. Dealul Cetăţii), which towers over
the North-Western part of Şimleu Depression.
